Relay for Life, the American Cancer Society's (ACS) signature fundraising event, is an overnight celebration of hope, progress and awareness. Carle Place will host its first Relay for Life on May 17 and May 18 at the high school.
At this time, friends, families, neighbors and coworkers are encouraged to form teams and walk along a Carle Place High School track to raise funds and awareness about cancer while celebrating the lives of those who have had cancer, remembering those who have lost the battle and fighting back against the disease. There is no limit on the number of people on a team or amount of money raised.
The Relay for Life will feature entertainment throughout the evening, including performances by the Greasy Crow Bars.
