The Westbury Board of Education will be holding an action meeting at Dryden Street School at 7:30 p.m.

Barnes and Noble in Carle place will be hosting Ransom Riggs, author of the popular fantasy novel Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. He will read excerpts from Hollow City, the follow up novel to Miss Peregrine’s. At 2 p.m.

The Town of North Hempstead will be holding a public hearing regarding the New Cassel Urban Renewal Overlay District. The hearing will take place during the normal town board meeting, at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall, 220 Plandome Road, Manhasset.
