Westbury BID Hosting Annual Street Fair This Weekend

Casino Night, Octoberfest among highlights for ‘What a Weekend in Westbury’

According to the Westbury Business Improvement District, there’s no better place to be than Westbury this upcoming weekend, as the BID’s “What a Weekend in Westbury” festivities will feature something for everyone beginning Friday.

A Las Vegas-style Casino Night will get the party started Friday at 7:30 p.m. at Club Napoli (373 Maple Ave.), where residents can roll the dice with “funny money” and enjoy live entertainment throughout the evening. An entrance ticket $60 (or two for $100) will include $40 in funny money, a buffet from Post Avenue’s own Café Ginos, one drink ticket, one raffle ticket and the opportunity to win prizes throughout the evening. Space is limited, so contact the BID at 333-2235 if you’d like to get in on the action.

“As always, you can stroll along Post Avenue and shop the many vendors and local merchants, learn about various government, religious and community organizations and visit our food court with a wide variety of foods including breakfast favorites, classic Italian and Greek foods, burgers and hot dogs, ice cream, snacks, desserts and more,” said a BID representative.

Live entertainment, an appearance from KJOY 98.3, a NY Autofest classic car show, a petting zoo, New York Islanders events, the Long Island Aquarium, the Cradle of Aviation and a North Shore Animal League “adopt-a-thon” will also be present this Saturday.

Sunday’s “Close Enough Octoberfest” will conclude the weekend’s offerings, as Chi Dining Lounge (103 Post Ave.) will feature an unlimited open bar of beer, wine and soda along with a hot buffet included in the $35 ticket.

Throughout the weekend, the village’s commuter parking lot on Madison Street will be less about work and more about play as carnival rides, games and food will be available through Sunday afternoon.
