Born May 4, 1920 to Maurice and Estelle Grey, Richard Edman Grey died peacefully on July 20 at his residence in Miami. Richard grew up in Woodmere, NY and graduated from the University of Wisconsin. While serving in the army during WWII, he married the love of his life, Ruth, his wife for the past 68 years.
Richard and Ruth lived in Westbury, NY for 59 years and in Miami for four years. He enjoyed a long and successful career in sales working for Luxor Lighting, DuroTest, and Westron.
Richard is survived by his wife, Ruth, his sister Marjorie Balick, children Susan Wagner (Tom), Robert (Susan), Betsy (Joel), and Martin (Amy).
He is also survived by nine wonderful grandchildren Becky (Jon), Abby (Jon), Dan, Lisa (Vivek), Laura (Robert), Josh, Leah, Hillary, and Michael, and four great-grandchildren. The family offers sincerest gratitude to all who helped with Richard’s care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Alzheimer’s Association or to the Community Reform Temple, 712 The Plain Road, Westbury, NY 11590. Funeral services were held on Sunday July 22 at Riverside Gordon Memorial Chapel in Miami, Florida.
