As New York State celebrates our 76th year, the generosity of our members has helped to bring our civil and human rights agenda to underserved communities across this great state.
We hope you will continue to help the NAACP New York State Conference serve those communities who gain so much from our programs when we convene our 76th Annual Convention, Oct. 5-7, 2012 at the Hilton Long Island in Melville.
Our theme this year is “NAACP: Your Power, Your Decision—Vote!” and captures the 2012 programmatic priority to ensure that the voting rights in this state are not politically compromised and that the educational, social and economic equality of all peoples are maintained. Our award-winning programs in these areas and the millions of lives we impact positively as a result demonstrate our constant commitment to the NAACP mission and goals.
You are encouraged to attend the convention and we look forward to your participation; supporters will be recognized throughout the convention of more than 300 people, which includes delegations from our 56 adult and youth and college units from across the state. Prominent recognition of supporters will also be featured on the NAACP New York State website and in all written materials including press releases.
We invite you to join in the celebration with us and continue the efforts of our local branch. Our works to make this a better state cannot continue without your participation.
