This perennially popular festival returns to Old Westbury Gardens on Saturday, Aug. 27 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The many events and attractions include:
•The Highland Games, including Caber Toss, Putting the Stone and Tossing the Sheaf.
•Kids’ events and entertainment, including Caber Toss, Races, Tug-of-War, Pony Rides, Storytelling, Face-painting, Petting Zoo, Bert the Raccoon, Dog Agility Exhibits and much more.
•Pipe band performances and parades throughout the day.
•Music, dance, and other entertainment including MacTalla Mor, Cameron Music Ensemble, The Brigadoons, Folk, Rock, and Bluegrass Bands and Step Dancing.
•A host of vendors selling Scottish/Celtic Gifts and Novelties, Glassware, Jewelry, Woolen and Tartan Clothing and Music.
•Bring a picnic, visit our Café in the Woods, or sample everything from Fish and Chips and Bridies to Traditional Scottish Desserts.
Admission is $15, $10 for seniors (over 62) and $5 for ages 7-17.
